เมื่อวันที่ 10 สิงหาคม 2564 กระทรวงสาธารณสุขแคนาดา (Health Canada) ประกาศ “อนุญาตให้ใช้ Lysophospholipase จากเชื้อรา Trichoderma reesei เป็นเอนไซม์ (Enzymes) ที่ใช้ในแป้ง (Starch) ในการผลิตเดกซ์ทริน (dextrins), เดกซ์โทรส (dextrose), น้ำตาลฟรุกโตสและฟรุกโตสไซรัป (fructose syrups), กลูโคสไซรัป (glucose syrup) และน้ำตาลกลูโคสหรือมอลโตส ได้ โดยระเบียบดังกล่าวมีผลบังคับใช้ตั้งแต่วันที่ 10 สิงหาคม 2564 เป็นต้นไป
