สหภาพยุโรปได้ออกประกาศ 2 ฉบับ ว่าด้วยการถอนการอนุญาตไม่ให้ใช้ Z,Z,Z,Z-7,13,16,19-docosatetraen-1-yl isobutyrate และ Z-13-hexadecen-11yn-1-yl acetate เป็นสารออกฤทธิ์ (Active Substance) ในผลิตภัณฑ์อารักขาพืช (Plant Protection Products : PPPs) ในสหภาพยุโรป โดยประกาศทั้ง 2 ฉบับ ได้แก่

          (1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/636 of 22 April 2016 withdrawing the approval of the active substance Z,Z,Z,Z-7,13,16,19-docosatetraen-1-yl isobutyrate, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and amending Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011

          (2) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/638 of 22 April 2016 withdrawing the approval of the active substance Z-13-hexadecen-11yn-1-yl acetate, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and amending Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 ใน EU Official Journal L 108/22 และ L 108/28

          กฎระเบียบดังกล่าว จะมีผลปรับใช้ 20 วันหลังจากที่ลงประกาศใน EU Official Journal (ประกาศ ณ วันที่ 23 เมษายน 2559)

          อย่างไรก็ดี EU กำหนดให้ประเทศสมาชิกถอนการอนุญาตผลิตภัณฑ์อารักขาพืชที่มีส่วนผสมของสารดังกล่าวภายในวันที่ 13 พฤศจิกายน 2559 และอนุโลมให้มีช่วงระยะเวลาเปลี่ยนผ่านได้แต่ต้องมีระยะเวลาสั้นที่สุดและต้องไม่เกินกว่าวันที่ 13 พฤศจิกายน 2560
